{"id":5698,"date":"2024-11-08T05:06:37","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T05:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ieee-robio.org\/2024\/?page_id=5698"},"modified":"2024-11-08T05:29:36","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T05:29:36","slug":"presentation-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ieee-robio.org\/2024\/presentation-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-938f26b68dc7a40922145ca86631bbc0\"><strong>Instructions for ORAL Sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-5f992379c90c5201e5f35f6e18e045c8\">Accepted papers presented at the conference will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore and EI subject to meeting IEEE Xplore\u2019s scope and quality requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c915501ca49313c47ff464bf88799267\"><strong>Official Language<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-258d6355931eb5aaf490195a4678c3ca\">The official language of the conference is English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-3538923ac61c61719704c59992971e02\">All presentations, including discussions and paper submissions, shall be made in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-644335a657402bc29bda8d3a1bf11be3\"><strong>Conference Attire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-cb9cf854cbd74a53f52cc3d957fa122a\">Casual attire is generally recommended for the Welcome and Farewell Receptions while a business suit or a white shirt with a neck-tie at all technical sessions and at the Conference Banquet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-32b1f1ed0e4df3deab367f8adb004749\"><strong>Oral Presentation Specifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-3911c0185caa0cf47a172aa03b1f8fd2\">In each oral presentation room, one LCD projector will be available. The presenters have to bring their own laptop. The presenters should prepare Power Point Slides to facilitate their presentations. The slides and the presentations must be in English. Please test the slides at least 15min before session start to avoid potential format problems caused by different software versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-45dabdf06383355e57b0a959f50e407b\">Duration for each category of oral presentation is listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-68572e845d9161e54d8d265063c26b46\">     &#8211; Plenary Talks are scheduled for 60 minutes (including Q&amp;A) each.<br>     &#8211; Keynote Talks are scheduled for 30 minutes (including Q&amp;A) each<br>     &#8211; Regular Sessions are schedule for 12 minutes + 3 min Q&amp;A each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-cbf8254e410da080a2737f1aa0dd7a8c\"><strong><strong>Instructions for POSTER Sessions<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c52b2581e9db61f2b69a4029c8f4d864\">Poster session represents an effective and valuable means for authors to present their research results. It offers an opportunity of meeting with interested attendees for in-depth scientific and technical discussions, and establishing new collaborations. Therefore, it is important that you display your results clearly to attract people who have an interest in your team\u2019s research work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-7b8bca3fdac40f3260a71a65fea8a202\">Your poster should cover the KEY POINTS of your paper, which include but not limited to background, methods, results and conclusion. Make your poster as self-explanatory as possible. This will save your time for discussions and questions with fellow researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-26696b65c4aae1f221b2fc870674b9ec\"><strong>Author should post up your poster on the poster panel in the morning \/ after lunch of the day of your poster session<\/strong>. The detailed schedule of poster arrangement please refer to the Program Arrangement webpage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-fd80ce0547e2db009fe4bbadf42e0b27\">* NOTE: Please note that your poster should be prepared well in advance. There will be no time or materials available for last minute preparations at the conference. Plastic tape will be provided to attach your posters to the boards. Please <strong>remove your poster before end of the day, or it will be discarded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-651b815d33b046633b3956a295c3094b\"><strong>POSTER DIMENSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e402d3db4615a034073a3ecbe92fe100\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Your poster SHOULD have the following dimensions:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Poster Size: 90cm wide x 120cm high.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Please note that printing out your submitted full paper in A4 size format is NOT acceptable as a poster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">There is no conference template of poster. Please use your own template of research posters. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c1f41f07080b0a64f13f397cd5d3110b\"><strong>POSTER CONTENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-323ed1c20f46a34618d28cd1bf030490\"><strong>Figures: <\/strong>Each figure should have a brief title. Figures should be numbered consecutively according to the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Try to use color figures rather than only black and white text to make your poster attractive and highlight the important technical content of your paper. Make sure that the text and the visuals are integrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-cbe370c12003047bf4c07063bb45be02\"><strong>Title:<\/strong> The title of your poster should appear at the top with lettering of at least <strong>42 pt<\/strong> font size). Below the title, place the names of authors and their affiliations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-b63d4d9cae65cb8d67af24472a111a15\"><strong>Text: <\/strong>Text should be readable from five feet away. Use a minimum font size of <strong>17 pt<\/strong>. Keep the text brief. Try to use text to introduce the study, explain visuals and direct viewers\u2019 attention to significant data trends and relationships portrayed in the visuals, state and explain the interpretations that follow from the data.
